Ridgeline ("the app") is published by Ridgemont Energy Capital, LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what data the app handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built Ridgeline to be private by default: your personal logs stay on your device and in your own iCloud account, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
The information you enter — meals, weight, workouts, habits, goals, and your profile — is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud, synced through your own private Apple iCloud (CloudKit) account. This data is under your control; we cannot access your private iCloud data.
If you grant permission, Ridgeline reads data such as steps, sleep, heart rate, workouts, and body measurements to power features like your readiness score and progress trends. This data is used on your device to provide app functionality. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with third parties for marketing. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app or Settings.
When you use an AI feature — logging a meal by voice, photo, or text; the ingredient-label scan; healthier swaps; the AI coach; or the daily briefing — the relevant input (for example, your meal description or photo, or a short summary of your logged data) is sent over an encrypted connection to our processing service and to our AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate your result.
When you search or scan foods, the food term or barcode you enter may be sent to third-party nutrition databases — USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts, and Nutritionix — to return nutrition information. These requests contain the food query, not your identity.
Ridgeline Plus is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple. Apple processes all payments; we do not receive or store your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated subscription information.
Ridgeline is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
